Abstract

This is a semantic study in the book Al-Muhkam fi Usul al-Fiqh by Sayyid Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim, as I took the absolute and the restricted as a model. I studied the definition of absolute and the restricted in a descriptive study by Sayyid Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim, and then I started from it to the Arab linguists, I read their opinions and analyze them to know, and then I return to the ancient fundamentalists first, and then the later ones among them, to know the extent of the additions that the fundamentalists added in addition to the scholars of Arabic, and to know the extent of the disagreement between them as well, and this study revealed that the fundamentalists have added important controls that are indispensable in knowing the origin of the absolute word, and the reality of the relationship between the absolute word and the restricted word, and that there must be a contradiction between them in order for the contradiction between them to be achieved, otherwise they are from the general and the specific.

It is worth noting that the scholars of the principles of jurisprudence divided the current indication into two parts: one is the specific indication mentioned by the people of Arabic, and the other is what they are unique in, which is the general indication that is suitable for the general speech and which they call (the introductions of wisdom)
