The study area possesses the potential to contribute to the development of livestock and meet the daily needs of the population, as it is a major source of animal protein, contributing to food security in the study area and surrounding regions, particularly Fallujah District, which serves as its rural hinterland. The research included a presentation and analysis of the types of livestock in the study area and their variation between its districts. This is a continuation of the importance of livestock production in meeting human consumption needs, represented by red and white meat products and their other products, milk and eggs, in addition to hair, wool and leather products. The research problem was represented by the following question: What are the geographical variations in the types of livestock in the districts of the study area and what is the possibility of developing them? As for the research hypothesis: There is a geographical variation in the distribution of livestock types among the districts of the study area as a result of natural and human conditions and the desire of the population to raise livestock The research aims to shed light on the types of livestock and their geographical distribution, and to develop well-thought-out plans for their development. A regional approach was adopted, which can be integrated with the systematic approach, creating the possibility of applying many characteristics, based on a diverse regional vision, to give the study an objective and comprehensive understanding of spatial data, The analytical approach and the inductive approach, in addition to the quantitative method, were used to determine the spatial variation of livestock species. The questionnaire form was adopted, with (398) forms distributed randomly to determine the problems that livestock suffer from in the study area.
