Abstract

This research sheds light on a book of morphological heritage that had been hidden away in manuscript shelves. Our master's degree studies have brought this scientific heritage to light by verifying and studying it. This research focuses on examining the methodology of this book, defining its features, and providing examples. We titled it "Explanation of the Tasrif al-Badi' by al-Mazhari al-Zaydani: A Descriptive Methodological Study." In this study, we relied on the descriptive method, which seeks to highlight the features of this method and provide examples to gain a general understanding of the features of this commentary. We introduced this method with a brief study of the author of this commentary. May God Almighty grant us help and success

The study provided a comprehensive overview of the author, highlighting his scholarly standing and his contributions to numerous books on Islamic jurisprudence. Regarding morphology, the study drew attention to the morphological insights that Mazhari included in his commentary on *Tasrif al-Badi'*. Mazhari explained the unfamiliar terms used by the author in his book. The study also emphasized the importance of clearly defining words in all their categories, such as specifying the grammatical case, indicating the metrical pattern, or providing examples. This helps the reader to read and pronounce correctly. The study further confirmed that Mazhari's approach involved emphasizing the fundamental principles of Arabic linguistics before addressing non-Arabic elements.
