Abstract

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and companions. The companions include Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl.(May God be pleased with him)One of the most prominent figures who had a role in the sporting and social events that took place in the city of Mecca, as he was the son of a leader of the enemies of Islam in the Quraysh, namely Abu Jahl. Ikrimah supported his father, especially at the beginning of his life, in his hostility, and he had many stances against the Muslims. However, God chose him for guidance, so he converted to Islam after the conquest of Mecca, and his Islam became good, and he continued to support Islam as compensation for that.,english languageAmong those who believed in the Islam of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), were pious and ascetic. He dedicated himself to jihad in the cause of God and went out to the Levant and remained there fighting until he was martyred in the Battle of Ajnadayn in the thirteenth year of the Hijra.

Despite the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him) forgiveness and tolerance towards his opponents, Ikrimah was among those whose blood the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared forfeit due to his hostile stances towards Muslims, particularly during the conquest of Mecca. From what has been discussed in this humble research about this remarkable companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we must take him as a role model, especially in matters of sincerity. He (may God be pleased with him) was sincere to the religion of God and to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), particularly in his dedication to jihad in the path of God—and this is the crux of the matter.
